Welcome to McNeils Mill, home to a range of wonderful animals and opportunities
We can date back Wrancarr Mill to the early 1800’s, when no doubt the sails would have been in regular action serving the local community via a network of bridlepaths.
Arriving here in 2016, we’ve slowly converted our little piece of heaven from a horse stud farm to a small holding that now consists of cattle, sheep, hens, guinea fowl and of course cats and dogs! (With no doubt more to come).
It’s a wonderful way of life and one we are always happy to share with visitors.
Animal welfare is paramount to us; plentiful fresh feed and water, along with shelter from the elements, is offered to every species you can find here on the farm. A happy animal gives us something back - the ongoing pleasure of working with them and successfully breeding the next generation.

Pedigree Livestock
Read moreWe breed a small herd of quality pedigree Beef Shorthorn, British Blonde cattle and Charollais Sheep. We take pride in our exceptional health status, vaccination programme and focus on great temperament, all of which have seen a high demand for our genetics over recent years.

Read moreWe keep and breed a number of our favourite birds, including the Buff Orpington, the Brahma and the Warren. Depending on the season, we also have fertile eggs or growing pullets available.

Farm Experience Days

Embroidery
Read moreSupporting our animals, we operate an embroidery business from a workshop on the farm. Our six head machine is capable of 1000 stitches a minute, on six garments at any one time, and can pick and choose from 12 colours to provide any item of sports, work or corporate wear you can imagine! The machine in full swing is another marvel of a visit to the Mill.
